Judy Powell

Judy Powell is Head of the Cultures and Histories program at the Queensland Museum. Her academic qualifications are in history and archaeology and her professional experience is in cultural heritage assessment and management. Her particular area of interest is environmental history and archaeology. Before working in Australia, she undertook archaeological work and research in Greece, Cyprus, and Jordan.
Judy Powell is one of the Chief Investigators in the ARC funded project to develop a Historical Atlas of Queensland. This three year project (2007-2009) is a collaborative project between QM and The University of Queensland.
